So this weekend kick started a crazy couple of weeks.  We got the keys to our house and went to visit the inside for the first time in a while.  I am so excited to get settled, but since I am transitioning out of my old job the move will be slow as it will be happening a lot at night and over the weekends.  Really wanting to spend these hot moving days bumming around in comfy clothes.  This was about as fashionable as I got during the days this weekend.  Happy Monday...J

{Wildflower}

In all honesty, I did not have my act together this week.  In the middle of job transition and prepping for a month long move my days have felt a little wild lately.  Therefore I think that it is fitting that my co-worker snapped these pics as we were transitioning between buildings for meetings today.  I didn't even know if I would share them, since we were in such a hurry and I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off getting ready this morning, but I couldn't pass up the chance to share these beautiful wildflowers.  In the most unexpected spot on campus, adjacent to a parking lot of all things, I find them to be an unlikely burst of happiness.  Also a good reminder for me that you don't always have to be planned and put together to be beautiful.  Happy Wild Wednesday...J

{Gimmies: Got'em}

These are just a couple of my Spring finds that I had the "gimmies" for  when shopping recently.  Great things about these ladies is they not longer give me the "gimmies" because I got them.  The rhinestone collar necklace was a great find from a new vintage jewelry booth in one of my favorite anitque shops.  Can't wait to lengthen her and start wearing her around town.  See you tomorrow...J

{Mellow Yellow}

There are so many little things that make me smile about this look.  1. Yellow is slowly becoming a staple in my Spring wardrobe, mostly because it makes me smile.  2.  These new shoes from Nine West are so lovely.  I love the rose gold tone and they are comfortable to boot.  3. Picked up this little vintage clutch from a recent flea market trip for $5.00, and I just love how it pairs with dark denim.  4.  Have you noticed the frequent ripped jeans popping up in my weekend looks.  They are just so relaxed and comfortable I can't help it.  5.  My new single spiked ring is the perfect hint of gold for any look.  I imagine that this look will be popping up again since I am notorious for lazily repeating favorite looks.  Also wanted to share that one of my sweet friends, Michelle, just opened an amazing new Etsy shop, so if you get a moment please go and check out her amazing new pillows.   Happy Wednesday...J

So today I am loving bright accents.  I am really excited to play with a colorful chair or two, while decorating the new house.  Just can't decide between yellow or orange.  So it is no suprise today that I wish I was sipping some coffee in THIS room in any of THOSE fruit inspired looks.  Happy Tuesday...J 

{Orange Crush}

 This skirt was one of those sequin finds that I couldn't imagine leaving the store without, but at the same time I new I would have to challenge myself to wear it.  Being all sequins and such a vibrant blue it is certainly not something I can just wear around the house.  I mean I am not opposed to wearing full sequins around the house, but it is difficult sometimes to lounge in sequins.  Don't you think?  To date she has been worn exactly three times.  First for a dinner out in Vegas, second for a dinner out in Miami, and third for a dinner out in Nashville.  Are you seeing a pattern?  The first two times I wore her, I played it pretty safe with black pumps and a black button up.  But I loved this playful look, and surprisingly loved the orange and blue together.  Happy Monday...J

{The Gimmies: Floral Balenciaga}

As you can see this week, I have floral on the mind.  When I spotted this Floral Balenciaga I let out a little squeal because I just love the rich vibrant colors.  Certainly not something you migth carry everyday, but perfect for a pop of spring.  Happy Thursday...J

{Imogene+Willie in My New Hood}

So we don't move into our new place until May, but I would be lying if I told you we haven't driven by our new home a couple times on the weekend.  I am convinced that our new neighbors will eventually report us to neighborhood watch or something because I am sure they have gotten suspicious of the crazies driving up there street multiple times a day.  Anyways...with the new move, comes a new hood, and thus the process of picking new places where we can take blog pictures.  

For those of you that are familiar with Nashville, you probably have heard of Imogene + Willie, which is an amazing shop in 12 South where you can have jeans custom made right in the shop.  Not only is the aesthetic of the shop to die for, but I love the distressed couch they have out front.  Since this little spot is right around the corner from our new place, I thought I would try some shots there.  I am also in love with the bright orange chandelier hanging in the shop.  Be expecting a DIY orange chandelier this summer for our new place.  I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday...J

After the purchase of our first house, my mind is buzzing with decorating ideas.  My husband's one request is to not make any room look like the secret garden with florals gone crazy.  I think this chair might be a happy medium to satisfy my floral craze on a small level.  Wouldn't mind sitting in THIS chair in THAT dress....J

{Zoo Animals & DIY's}

I woke up this Monday incredible rested.  Even got up and did Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, and that is not meant for anyone who has any difficulty on the occasional morning.  I believe the result of feeling rested is probaby because the Mr. and I did not stay up until 3:00 a.m. having yet again another NetFlix marathon.  If there is some kind of support group for NetFlix addicts.  Please let me know.

So this outfit was meant for the playful date at the Nashville Zoo Stuart and I had planned for this Saturday.  Well the Zoo's annual Eggstravaganza and every child in the tri-state area had other plans.  On our way to the zoo, cute outfit, coffee, and husband in hand, my date was smashed by literally miles of traffic just to enter the Zoo parking lot.  After 30 minutes of traffic, we gave up.  Hoping to make it to the Zoo this weekend:/  

I did want to share this sweet little clutch with you all.  I could not resist the temptation to by 5 mini flowers on sale at J.Crew.  Feeling a little guilty as I left the store {"What exactly did I plan on doing with these little pretties?}, I was so excited to find this gorgeous spring clutch at Anthropologie.  Bingo! Clutch + 5 mini flowers= cuteness.  And when did I start saying Bingo?  Being this rested on Monday is annoying.  I imagine many of you have stopped reading at this point, but for the few who haven't happy monday...J
