    1. I thought of you this morning as I was thinking of the new hashtag for my life and my quotes that are helping me be brave. You are certainly someone I will miss catching up with and visiting. So glad to have the internet to get to keep seeing all your amazing inspiring messages you post each day. The cool thing now that I am leaving Vanderbilt is I will have all these professional contacts, but not just at Vanderbilt. I actually get to know people, who are now working other places:) MIss you already!

  2. Congratulations on this new exciting (albeit probably scary at the same time) chapter of life. "Be Brave" is definitely a good mantra to have for your life. It's something I should recognize more often too since I'm the least likely person to take a chance/risk. There's so much going on for you right so thanks for taking time to share your feelings to your readers! You sound like you have a strong support system around you and as difficult as it might sound like to leave behind a life you know and likely love it will be amazing to embrace something new and likely wonderful as well. =)
    Best to you!!

  3. Awe girl! So many mix feelings reading this. I am so happy for you and your new adventure, but sooo sad to see you leave. I only just got to meet you and neither of our schedules have allowed us to finally have that coffee date. Hope I get to see you before you move. If not, I wish you all the best and we will still have our blogs to follow each other!

ps: I agree with your suit statement for women. Men still need to though! :)

  4. Oh my goodness, I am so happy for you!!! Congratulations on this new adventure, friend! I totally teared up and laughed out loud (poppy seed roll - HAHA) reading this heartfelt post. You are going to be amazing! The scariest things in life are truly the most worthwhile and the hardest part is taking the first leap - which you've already done. I will be praying and thinking about you and your husband and dogs through this process. Take a deep breath, have a swig (or bottle) of wine, don't be afraid to cry it out and indulge in last minute Nashville delights. You can do it! One day at a time! I'm so excited about your new endeavor and can't wait to keep up with it on your blog. Hugs and blessings, friend.

  8. So many congratulations to you, Jess! I am one who checks in on DL daily to see if there's anything new, and I was happy to find your posts and the lovely musing from you on being brave. Definitely something to live by, and it seems you do it well, no matter how many tears, falls both literal and figurative and other things life throws in our way. I wish you and your hubs the best and can't wait to see what gems you find in your new town! xoxo

  11. Perfect green and gold outfit in honor of Notre Dame! I recently posted a post about being brave. It was about my three year old and his ability to go to school here in Spain, not knowing the language at all. Bravery doesn't mean you cant cry, or be fearful, it just means that you take the next step with faith.

Loved this post and Congrats on the exciting news! Happy to be your newest follower!

    1. Rachel...so sorry I am just getting back to you. I love what you shared..."Bravery doesn't mean you can't cry, or be fearful, it just means that you take the next step with faith." I certainly would not be here without my faith. Thank you so much for the kind thought and for visiting DahliaLynn!
