{Lipstick and...}

Soooo really all I had planned to purchase this week was my old friend and stand by lip color "Ruby Woo" by Mac and one new lip color for fun.  If you are wondering, I chose "Lady Danger" by Mac.  Even though I don't mind that people have started referring to me at work as the blonde woman with nerdy glasses and bright red lipstick, I thought it couldn't hurt to spice things up in the new year with a new lipstick.  Don't worry Ruby you are still my favorite.  But here you can see that the two lipsticks were not the only thing that made it home with me. But half of these lovelies were on sale...just sayin.  Enjoy your weekend...J

Not sure what happened here.  Wild hair, wild pants, wild dress...do you ever have those days where you just want to dress a little crazy?  Nevertheless, looking at the final look I feel good about it.  Thankful that I went for all the black accessories to tie the look together.  Is it the weekend yet?  Hope you will stop by tomorrow....J

{Ski Bum}

We spent New Years visiting close friends in Beaver Creek and Denver.  It was such a treat to kick the new year off with some time in a ski town.  I felt like a little bum running around in my baggy, man jeans and snuggly, knits with wild, woman hair.  But being a bum never felt so great, and warm to boot.  I hope everyone has had an amazing first week of 2012.  Happy Weekend...J

Today I am MAD about florals.  I have loved all the Celine inspired images popping up lately, especially the floral on floral ensembles.  Even though I imagine taking this trend out for a spin could be disastrous for me, I don't think I can resist much longer.  Happy Thursday....J

{New Look}

Did you notice anything different at DahliaLynn Lane today? If not we are in trouble.  But seriously, I have been dying to share this blog redesign with you all.  Laura Burkhart at Laura Burkhart Design Studio was the mastermind behind the new DLL look.  I cannot say enough wonderful things about Laura.  She was simply a delight to work with and captured what I feel is the true essence of DLL.  When I saw the hand sketched image of a statement necklace for the DLL look I was hooked.  Laura did the complete redesign of my blog and designed my new business cards and mailers. She even worked with me to create new headers for the seasons and holidays.  How cool is that?  I could not be any happier with the final look.  If you are looking for graphic design, interior design, even paintings, you should check out her amazing site here.  So happy to have found her and to kick of 2012 with a fresh new look.

So remember when I shared the sneak peak of my New Years outfit last week?  Well here is the complete look. The best part being that I found this sweet, little, frock at a vintage store near my hometown for only $40...eek! I would be lying if I told you I completely fit in while wearing this in Beaver Creak, CO for New Years, but who really wants to be normal anyways?  I hope you had a wonderful time toasting the new year....J
