Takin a break from the regular "Second & Dahlia's Style Steals" because sweet Michelle is on vacation.  But now worries, we will be back in action next week.  I wore this little number on the plane ride back on Monday evening.  I am always a big fan of comfy layers on planes.  I hope everyone is having a great week....J

{The Grands}

Did my very best to get some good outfit pics from my weekend visit with the family to my sweet Grandparents House in Florida.  They live in this amazing development on a gold course, where all the houses are stucco, and the entire place is just peaceful.  Our weekend was packed with a trip to Busch Gardens, great food, wine and spirits, and lots of laughter.  The only thing missing was my sweet baby sis, she is studying for her medical school step exams, and my Aunt & Uncle.  

I did some major color blocking on Sunday for Brunch.  My sweet grandmother saw my necklace, and snuck away to her jewel box saying she had just the bracelet for me.  She gave me this beautiful bangle, which I wore all weekend.  It was such a wonderful surprise, and it will be a nice reminder of her when I wear it.  I hope everyone had an amazing Memorial Day, and I am so thankful for all of those brave individuals {including my father and grandfather}, who have served out country....J

I spotted this amazing photo about a week ago when browsing around the internet for pretty chandeliers.  I love the mix of feminine and masculine to create a truly whimsical space.  I am imagining all the nooks in my new house that could benefit from this type of face lift.  Thanks to Michelle over at Second Street East for finding so many of the pieces to re-create the look.  Happy Thursday....J 

{Perfect Pair}

This dress is another oldie but goodie.  I have had it for about 3 years now, and I seem to keep coming back to it season after season.  I love the vibrant hue, the cinched waist, and the bow detail in the back.  It is one of those dresses I know I can always feel comfortable and confident in.  I found these vintage earrings at a favorite vintage shop about year after I got the dress, and I think it makes the perfect pair with this dress.  Happy Wednesday...J

{BFF}

Happy Monday!!! I spent this past Saturday taking a quick trip to see my sweet, little sister.  Isn't her outfit up top the cutest!  She has been hard at work studying for her Step Exam after her second year of medical school, and I wanted to give her a break from studying.  We spent the afternoon shopping, catching up, and she introduced me to the most amazing cupcake shop ever and and equally delicious burger joint.  To top the day off we bought two little friendship bracelets to remind us of one another, since we no longer live in the same city.  So lovely to have my sister as my best friend.  The only down to the day was seeing a spider crawl across the inside of my windshield on the way home.  Tried to kill him, but he disappeared.  Needless to say the drive home was a little less peaceful than the drive up...J
