You Pull It Off...
So how many of you are as excited about the fur snood as I am?  I picked up my first faux fur snood at the end of the winter season last year on mega sale at the Loft, and I simply love it.  I have been lusting after a real fur snood at Nordstrom this season.  But I will say, they can be weird.  It is like draping a little faux animal around you neck after all, so I find that some people don't know what to do with them.  So here are my tips...

1.  Fur {real or faux} always seems to boost the glam of any outfit.  So if you are stepping out of the comfort zone with the fur snood I recommend trying a casual day look that you are comfortable with first.  Throwing the snood on with a glitzy top might be a little much for most of the population.

2.  Choose a coat or heavy knit that works with the outfit, so when you put on your snood it can look like part of your coat.  Then you decide weather or not to leave the snood on in doors.

3.  Don't go pattern crazy.  If you can't leave the house without a patter {I sometimes fall in to this category} then keep the bright pattern to one piece of your outfit.  Lots of pattern, color, and fur might frighten you and your friends if you are just getting used to the snood.

4.  Pick a snood in your favorite fur color.  If you don't usually like white fur, then you won't like a white fur snood.  If you love black fur, then a black fur snood is probably the way to go.  This might seem silly, but I have somtimes fallen in to the trap of what colors, shades, furs, etc. are "in."  But if you don't like it, you won't wear it.

So there you have it.  A couple of easy steps to help you step in to your snood.  So now, "You all can pull off the snood look."  Let me know if you decide to try out this look.  Would love to see what you come up with.  Happy Tuesday...J

  1. I am in love with the fur snood! I stumbled across one in Target (when I went to go check out the recent Neiman Marcus collab pieces) and when I went back last night it was sold out... hoping that means it is under the tree waiting for me to unwrap that cutie! Or else I will soon be stalking him online!
